Well I know this was on the other REFD, but it wouldn't hurt to bring it back.

Well I just watched the trailer again, I haven't in a good while, as there is absolutely nothing new, in terms of info or trailers, or anything, Capcom is kind of leaving us hanging.

A real shame since that trailer was so awesome, but yeah, if you got any new info, feel free to share it with the rest of the herd.smile.gif

Also, for some reason I can't seem to figure out how to make a new thread, only a poll...so I added in a dumb poll question.

We’re left hanging because Capcom executives are on the record as stating that no 3DS games are slated for release before the end of their fiscal year. Which means RER is a no-go until April 2011 at the earliest.

...All what info? News of Capcom's projected debut for the 3DS was all over gaming news sites back in August. Which syncs up nicely, since the 3DS isn't slated for North American release until March anyway.

Because Roy Is Too Lazy To Use Google

This thread could use a few updates all around:

(Seriously may want to mute this.)

Oh hey, look, apparently we can move while shooting now!

Jeez, it's about time Capcom got on the ball for once. Can't wait for this game, but I demand more HUNKage all around. I'm still smarting from having no HUNK at all for PS3, only to see him getting in the 3DS and Wii action...

Well, I'm not happy with the moving while shooting part, but at least the actual zombies have returned. None of this ganado/majini sh*t.

In the end, I'm not sure why I even stick with the series anymore. The Resident Evil I love sure as heck isn't ever coming back. sad.gif

What's wrong with move+shoot? I'd take FPS versus over-the-shoulder any day. And the inclusion of legitimate zombies is old news--but let's not start that debate again.

Jill's still around, for one... You're hitting an impasse with Resident Evil over the game that's set to finally delve back into the series' roots, and improve on gameplay?

Some game facts and news updates:

QUOTE
- Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield are confirmed and a number of other BSAA members are set to appear.

- The game is set between the time of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5.

- The game's prologue is set on a stormy night out at sea as the BSAA approach a cruise ship.

- The concept of the game is deliver a game that makes the player feel a greater sense of fear.

- The game will combine classic puzzle solving from the older Resident Evil games combined with the style of play found in Resident Evil 4.

- You'll be able to move with your gun equipped and it's also possible to freely move your viewpoint.

- Some of the image boards shows other areas like a port town and a snowy mountain.

- The overall setting of the game is Europe.

- The game's release date is TBA and is currently 20% complete.

Isn't it great? biggrin.gif Seems like yesterday we were scrutinizing Jill's Sheva-likeness, and now look at her...

Think there's tactical motivation behind that bare plunging V-neck? dry.gif

What's wrong with move+shoot?  I'd take FPS versus over-the-shoulder any day.

And I'd take old school third person over FPS and OTS any day. That's what I liked about Resident Evil. It was like watching a horror movie and when you're watching a horror movie, the camera isn't right over the person's shoulder all throughout. Resident Evil is no longer survival horror anymore, it's a straight action shooter.

RE5 was supposed to "delve back to the series' roots" according to Capcom, but that turned out to be a load of bull. I highly doubt the claim will pan out this time.

QUOTE

That's what they said about both RE4 and RE5, but it didn't pan out.

QUOTE

Yeah, considering Capcom's previous fails, I remain skeptical.

QUOTE

Making it action shooter, not survival horror.

I see a bit of Lara Croft influence in this iteration.

so many posts, anyways, risk quit hating, i know im inept sometimes and i understand that, but your lucky you havent met me in real life other wise youd probably get a .44 and end it all. now its not that im lazy, i just simply dont go out much and im not as web resourceful as some. not to mention my computer got blue screen of death recently.

also fps would seem better for any future resident evil game. tired of using third person all the time.

Risky, the plunging V-neck on Jill's blouse was present in her RE5 incarnation and is nothing new.

Only difference is that her goods aren't covered like they were then.

That sounds suspiciously like a threat and threats are not tolerated here.

not threat against a person. its like if someone were to meet the most annoying person in the world, they would get the 44 to end it all and never deal with it.weve been over the topic spartan. i dont threaten anyone unless i see someone as a worthy threat.

Here on REFD, you don't threaten people, period. I don't care if you perceive that person as some kind of threat to yourself or not.
