Having just "administrator", "member", and such is getting kind of bland to me, which I imagine you'll all agree with. So I was thinking we could give more interesting names to the groups. So, for example...

Member group = Citizen (seems more prestigious than just "member")
Administrator group = Umbrella (because we administrators run this joint, like Umbrella did Raccoon City tongue.gif )

I'm open to any better suggestions for group names, of course. happy.gif

Or, alternatively, I was playing around with a team system where each person could choose to be on a Resident Evil-related "team" of their choice which has a unique color-coded name. Possible teams (and their respective colors) are...

Umbrella (semi-bright red, like on their corporate logo)
Tricell (light blue, one of the colors used in Tricell's corporate logo)
STARS or RPD (dark blue)
BSAA (orange)
Umbrella Security Service (maybe a dark red color like the lenses on Hunk's gas mask?)

...among other ideas. I'll have to seek help on the Jcink support board on how to implement this and how to colorize usernames, but that's no problem. Or if somebody already here might know how to put this thing together, PM me and we'll talk.

So what do you guys think? I personally like the team system better myself, but I want to hear everyone else's opinions, too. REFD isn't just about me, it's about all of us. biggrin.gif

How'd I not see this earlier? I like the team based idea, plus we could still change regular members name to Citizen, or even Survivor for those who don't partake in the teams.

Yeah, I really like the team idea too. Especially for each user to be able to choose, that's cool.

I think that's the way to go. What would it mean exactly, just a different color for certain things, like usernames, etc?

Each member's color would correspond to their organization, yes. =]

And members not affiliated to an organization (i.e., the basic member group that one is assigned to when he/she registers, currently color-coded blue) would have a white username.

Would white really be needed with some of the skins using a white background? We could just keep them black, or any color except white. xD

Oh yeah... forgot about those. http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm97/SpartanWarrior198/Resident%20Evil%20Final%20Days/rofl.gif

So, okay, we're decided on a team-based set-up, then?
